What we're looking for
To enhance the enjoyment of Farnham for all visitors, from all user groups, of all ages and all levels of experience/knowledge of nature, using positive face-to-face engagement with visitors. This role is suitable for individuals or couples. Spending time out on site, talking to all types of visitors. Providing assistance and encouragement to visitors less experienced in bird and wildlife watching, as well as engaging with more experienced visitors to discuss their findings and share information. Where appropriate and safe, to deal with any misuse of the site and provide guidance in proper use to visitors with the support of RSPB staff. Monitor site for any issues and report them to staff. Look out for any signs of smoke/fire and report it to the fire service do not attempt to put out fire yourself. Encouraging visitors to offer their feedback. Optional: Assisting the visitor team to develop/deliver visitor activities, guided walks, and events, helping to develop interpretation around the reserve and ensuring that interpretation is relevant and in good condition at all times. Assist with keeping the site tidy by helping with litter picking
