What we're looking for

With over 80,000 visitors a year, Loch Leven is a very busy site. We aim to deliver first class customer care at all times, as well as providing an outstanding home for wildlife. There's so much to discover at Loch Leven including red squirrels, osprey, and a breeding population of lapwing. We are looking for enthusiastic, out going individuals with proven experience of delivering high standards of visitor facing customer care, to mentor, train and develop our visitor experience volunteers. The role holder will have excellent people skills with an infectious ability to enthuse and inspire our visitor experience volunteers to deliver their volunteering roles to the best standard. The role involves encouraging visitor experience volunteers to learn new skills, improve their wildlife identification abilities and their knowledge of conservation and the RSPB.

The skills you need

• Proven experience in a visitor facing role • Ability to deliver high quality training/mentoring • A desire to support others in the development of new skills • An infectious enthusiasm for nature • Excellent communication skills • The ability to listen and respond appropriately • Good knowledge of the RSPB, wildlife and the importance of its conservation • An awareness of health and safety
