  • A small carpark is located at the end of the road through Arnol crofting village, 400m from the reserve.
  • Please can visitors be aware that when visiting Loch na Muilne cars should only be parked in our car park and not the Historic Scotland car park adjacent, thank you.
Toilets

Nearest public toilets are at Dalmor beach, 8 miles (12 km) south on the A858.

Facilities can also be found at Arnol Blackhouse Museum. These are not public toilets, but the museum is another visitor destination.

Viewing point
  • Best viewed from the viewing cairn and seating area situated approximately 100 m from, and overlooking, the two lochs.
  • There is an interpretation panel here.
Nature trails
  • Pass through the gate to the north of the reserve carpark and follow a waymarked route to the viewing cairn, 400m away.
  • During the breeding season marker posts are installed taking you on a route from the viewing cairn towards the coast with good views over the loch.
  • There are coastal walks following the sea cliffs both to the north and south of the reserve.
  • Please stay on the waymarked route, following marker posts and do not approach the loch edge during the breeding season as this could cause disturbance to nesting birds.
