  • Open every day from 9am - 5pm, except Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
  • Binoculars and pond-dipping kits may be borrowed from here.

  • Small car park near airfield for Loch hides.
  • No height restrictions.

  • The public toilets are next to the Visitor Centre and car park.
  • Open from 9am - 5pm.
  • There is no emergency call system for visitors requiring assistance.
  • The floor is flat and smooth, laminate flooring. The taps are lever taps.
  • There is an accessible toilet with a door width of 900mm.
  • Open from 9am - 5pm.
  • Space for a wheelchair is at the right of the toilet which is 450mm from the floor.
  • There are grab rails at either side.
  • Self-service hot drinks machine only.
  • Nearest shops in Crimond, nearest hot meals in St Combs.

No shop facility on-site.

Visitors welcome to bring their own food.

  • There is a viewing area at the Visitor Centre. 
  • There are hides including: Tower Pool Hide (850m from the visitor centre), Willow Hide (200m from the visitor centre), Fen and Bay Hides (450m from airfield car park).
  • Open at all times.
  • Tower Pool Hide trail (850m long).
  • Fen Hide path.
  • There is a 1.2 km footpath (the summer path) from the visitor centre to the airfield hides (access may be limited between 1 August and end of February). It is long grass track and boardwalk with two pedestrian gates.
  • Beach and dunes accessible from Rattray or St Combs.
