Felixstowe Ferry & Kingsfleet for waders & wildfowl.
The River Deben is one of the main rivers in Suffolk and its lower reaches provide the potential for some excellent bird watching. We meet at Felixstowe Ferry at 1000 hrs and will then go along the river wall to Kings Fleet. This area is good for waders and wildfowl on the river and Fleet and there is always the possibility of seeing raptors and some of the wintering geese around the area. The walk will be fairly exposed to the weather so please come wrapped up well. 3 hours, 4 miles. Led by Stephen Marginson. All welcome.

RSPB Boyton Marshes for wildfowl and spring birds.
RSPB Boyton Marshes reserve is tucked away in one of the more remote areas of Suffolk, lying on the Butley River. The areas of meadow, marsh and reed provide a rich habitat for many types of bird. At this time of the year we may find lingering winter waders and wildfowl and even the first summer visitors depending on what sort of Spring we have. Other birds should be in full song by then as well. We meet at 9am at the Banters Barn Farm car park and will cover the reserve, Butley River and Burrow Hill areas. 4 hours, 4 miles. Led by Stephen Marginson. All welcome.
