Lancaster & District Birdwatching Society - 50th Anniversary
LDBWS will be holding a conference and buffet meal at Leighton Moss on Saturday 28th November 2009 to celebrate their 50th anniversary. Speakers will include John Wilson (Early days of LDBWS; 50 years of bird ringing), Pete Crooks (50 years of birdwatching), Kevin Briggs (Lune Waterways Survey), and Paul Cammack (Pied Flycatchers in the Lune Valley); with an after dinner speech by Ken Smith of the RSPB Research Department. The event will start at 2pm and finish c.9pm. Tickets must be pre-booked and cost £16 each. Tickets are available from Mrs S. Cooper, 8 Kirklands Road, Over Kellett, Carnforth LA6 1DP. Come along to the RSPB Lancaster Local Group Book Sale at Leighton Moss and pick up a bargain! We are open 10.00am - 4.00pm on Saturday 14th November and Sunday 15th November.

Please give us your unwanted hardback and paperback books in good condition for our secondhand booksale, which will be held in the Education Room at Leighton Moss on Saturday 14th November and Sunday 15th November (10am-4pm). Books can be left at Leighton Moss reception. Please note that we cannot accept magazines.
