Spring has sprung and there’s lots going on this Easter to get families out discovering the wonderful wildlife of the Mersey Valley.
The RSPB and Manchester City Council are running free, drop-in Spring Wild Challenge events at Chorlton Water Park, Chorlton on Wednesday 10 April and Fletcher Moss, Didsbury on 17 April. Families are invited to take part in activities, including nature trails and spring bingo, to get out exploring the sights and sounds of spring. At the RSPB stand, wildlflower seeds will be sown for children to take home which will attract bees and butterflies during the summer.
Families are invited to drop-in to these events any time from 11am-4pm and these activities count towards the RSPB’s Wild Challenge - a free, digital rewards scheme to encourage families to get closer to nature all year round, by completing fun activities that will help wildlife in their own back garden and local community. For more information about the Wild Challenge, visit rspb.org.uk/wildchallenge.
