Our funding
The RSPB is a charity with more than one million members. Young and old, urban and rural, from every corner of the UK, RSPB members volunteer thousands of hours working directly for birds and wildlife, and are the charity's biggest source of income. Together, they demonstrate a powerful and widespread commitment to birds and wildlife and the environment on which we all depend.
It has always been RSPB policy to hold low levels of financial reserves, and as such our policy is 8-16 weeks of expenditure. We want to tackle the climate and conservation emergency today, which is why our policy is set to this level.
