RSPB Scotland is inviting families to join in a wide range of outdoor nature-related activities at the Loch Garten Osprey Centre, near Boat of Garten, on Saturday 11 February. The activities, which will include building nest-boxes and bug-homes, will take place from 11am until 2pm at the Centre which is being specially opened for the event.

RSPB Scotland's Alison Greggans said, "The theme for the day is 'Show the Love' which is appropriate as it will be so near Valentine's Day. But 'Show the Love' is also the name of our Climate Change campaign and we plan to create some green arts and crafts for the campaign at the event.

"Loch Garten is a beautiful place to host an event like this and, with a bit of luck, we should see some the area's special wildlife including red squirrels and crested tits."

Visitors are advised to park at the Loch Garten car park where the activities will take place. The charge for participation is £5 for adults and £3 for children.
