Bexley Local Group

Hello and welcome to the Bexley group. Our aim is to welcome new members to the RSPB and raise funds to help save nature in the south east. We have indoor meetings throughout the year (except June, July & August) details of which, as well as our coach and car trips, can be found by clicking on Events. We are always pleased to see new people, there is no local group subscription and our bi-annual newsletter is free to all RSPB members in the Bexley area. The group aims to be a focus for existing RSPB members in the Bolton area and also for those new to birdwatching. Our programme of indoor meetings attracts over 100 people each month and runs from September to April.

Boston RSPB Wildlife Explorers

This group provides children and young people with a programme of activities that develops their interest in birds and wildlife. All meetings will be supervised by the group leaders and other volunteers. Parents/accompanying adults are welcome to stay if they wish Be sure to dress sensibly for outdoor activities.

Meeting information

Meetings normally held at Frieston Shore Nature Reseve at 9.45am usually on the 2nd Saturday of the month. There is a small charge of £2 for Wildlife Explorer members, £3 for non members. 50p will be charged for every subsequent family member attending.

Brighton & District Local Group

RSPB Brighton & District Local Group was formed in 1974 and has over 200 members. We have our main indoor meetings on the 4th Thursday in the month (except June, July and August).

In December the meeting is during the 2nd week. We have monthly day-trips by coach to reserves between September to November and January to May and 'easy going' mid-week walks in our local area (second Wednesday of the month, suggested donation of £1 for group members and £3 for non-group members). The group's aim is to run a comprehensive programme which encourages people to remain members of the RSPB and raise money to help save nature in the south east. Group members are very active in the sale of pin badges and are taking part in the Brighton & Hove House Sparrow project. Non-members are welcome to attend our events. We can also give talks on birds, nature and the RSPB to community groups in the local area. Cambridge Local Group

The group's aim is to support actively the work of the RSPB in the local community and to involve RSPB members and the wider public in the Society's conservation, public affairs, education, fundraising and other activities. We have regular monthly indoor meetings locally throughout the year and have occasional day-trips to local nature reserves.

So, if you would like to have fun and meet like minded people contact us and help make a difference for birds and wildlife. Our indoor meetings are held on the third Wednesday of every month throughout the year, except during June, July, August and December. We meet at The Wilkinson Room, St John the Evangelist, Hills Road, Cambridge, CB2 8RN, at 7.30 pm. There is limited on site parking but adequate parking on nearby streets. The outdoor meetings / field trips are normally held on Saturdays or Sundays throughout the year. In the summer months we also have evening walks around local reserves. Cardiff & District Local Group

Cardiff & District Local RSPB is a small friendly, long-running group who enjoy all things 'birds'! We have indoor and outdoor meetings throughout the year, with a summer break. Our indoor presentations take place on a Friday evening at which guest speakers give illustrated talks covering the local area and to the far corners of the world.

We visit a wide range of habitats and locations on our outings, which mainly take place on Sundays; a great chance to improve your knowledge or to pass your skill onto others who have the same interest as you.
