What we're looking for

We are looking for committed, long term volunteers to assist with habitat and species management, ecological surveys and visitor engagement on our reserves. You will be working as part of the estates team to help deliver the reserves management plans, which is designed to protect the incredible wildlife we have here in Dorset.

The skills you need

You will need enthusiasm, be able to work as part of a team and have an interest in conservation and natural history. Willingness to work outside and the ability to walk long distances in a day is essential. A full driving licence would be an advantage. What's in it for you?

You will be based at Arne, but will work across all eight of the Dorset reserves, including those not open to the public. There will be a wide range of training and development opportunities, and you will also gain a valuable insight into the work of the RSPB and the conservation sector.

Notes

Appropriate training will be provided and expenses will be reimbursed where necessary. Please note, accommodation is NOT provided as part of this role. We have residential places available via the Residential Volunteering Scheme. The RSPB is the country's largest nature conservation charity, inspiring everyone to give nature a home.
