What we're looking for

Baron's Haugh is a real gem for wildlife right on the edge of built up Motherwell. We need help to look after the wetlands, meadows and woodlands both for the myriad of wildlife that live there, and for the many people who visit. From planting hedgerows and fixing fences, to picking up litter, there is always plenty that needs done!

The skills you need

Enthusiasm, an interest in conservation and a love of the outdoors are desirable, as is a friendly open manner to work with others. You will need to be prepared to be out in all weathers. A reasonable level of fitness is essential. You will need an up-to-date tetanus injection.

Your time

Minimum:
1 day per week desirable (Thursdays)
Duration:
Ongoing
Period:
All year round

What's in it for you?

This is a great opportunity to make a difference on a nature reserve near you. Our work helps maintain and improve valuable habitats for wildlife and an important resource for the local community. It will be a chance to get to know part of your local environment, learn some new skills and about nature conservation. All of that whilst being out in the lovely outdoors and meeting new people.
