What we're looking for

Come and join our busy Community Team involved in various ways of promoting and supporting the work of the RSPB. The team consists of Membership & Fundraising, Events & Marketing, Social Media & Promotions, and Education. With such a varied remit we need someone with good all round skills to join the team and help us deliver different projects within our work areas.

The skills you need

You will need to have the following attributes: Confident. Good interpersonal skills and happy to converse with a wide range of staff volunteers and public. Flexible approach to work. Able to work as part of a team as well as individually. Good IT Skills Good use of initiative. Creative thinker. Happy to work flexible hours, and at different venues. Some weekend and evening work maybe required. Own transport would be a great advantage, with a clean drivers licence.

What's in it for you?

This opportunity will give you a great insight into the working practices of not only the Community Team but also a chance to work with the Reserves and Conservation Teams You will learn how our conservation work is funded in Northern Ireland, and the importance of engaging with as many sectors of the community as possible. Learn skills in event management, fundraising, membership recruitment, and managing volunteers. You will have the opportunity to visit our Northern Ireland Reserves, and learn about our current conservation projects.

Notes

You will be managed by a member of the Community team. All expenses will be re-imbursed and full training will be given. You will be part of ' One Team for Nature' and you will be invited to any formal training sessions and team days. The RSPB works for a healthy environment rich in birds and wildlife. It relies on the support and generosity of volunteers to make a difference. The RSPB is the UK Partner of the global federation of conservation organisations, BirdLife International.
