We want volunteers who can inspire visitors about wildlife and encourage families to explore our Conwy nature reserve
We want to inspire visitors to RSPB Conwy nature reserve about wildlife and to encourage families to explore nature. Your help is needed to engage with visitors out on site, help out with Family events at weekends and during school holidays, promote RSPB membership, and generally to help make sure that visitors to RSPB Conwy are having an enjoyable, informative and inspiring experience.
You'll need to have the confidence to strike up conversations with members of the public, a desire to help, an enthusiasm for wildlife and conservation, but most important of all, you'll need a friendly demeanour and a ready smile! You'll be prepared to get involved in a hands-on way and enjoy meeting the public! Some knowledge of wildlife is useful but we can teach you!
This is your chance to get out-and-about, meeting lots of new people and chat to them about nature, enthuse and inspire them. You'll be able to utilise your communication skills, as well as gaining new knowledge about the work of the RSPB. At the end of the day, you'll go home knowing you've made a difference. You will be ensuring that visitors get a really positive experience at the nature reserve and helping support the RSPB by encouraging new memberships. You will receive support from the reserve staff, be helping in a friendly environment, and be playing a part in aiding the largest conservation charity in Europe.

Training and support will be given, and expenses will be re-imbursed where necessary. Relevant RSPB clothing and equipment will be provided, and you will be treated as part of the team at RSPB Conwy.
