What we're looking for
We're looking for volunteers to help lead our new and developing running club. Our new running club needs you the Rainham Harriers running club meets every Sunday at 09:30am with distances ranging from 3km up to however far your legs can take you, and we would like some help. The club is a great opportunity to run in a lovely off road, nature rich setting improving your fitness, enjoying the views and accompanied by bird song. We would love the group to grow and develop discovering new routes and covering different distances each week, and this is where you come in. An extra leader would help us make this happen. If you are happy helping a group of runners, and chatting to people then this is the right role for you. You could help us identify new places to explore too, or lead and develop Learn to Run sessions if you wanted... The running club is part of our exciting new project called Active in Nature. The RSPB is partnering with Sport England to encourage people to experience nature in new and active ways. At RSPB Rainham Marshes we're offering a suite of outdoor activities for visitors to get involved in; bouldering, cycling, orienteering, running, and a whole host of different events.
