What we're looking for
Our office is often the first point of contact for queries. The office is used by a variety of staff & volunteers and offers hot-desking facilities. We require someone to carry out a front desk role and support the rest of the admin team. If you're a good 'people person', with bags of enthusiasm, great organisational skills this could be the role for you! Our office is open 9.00am 5.15pm, Monday to Friday and we require cover for as much of this time as possible so we're looking to recruit a team of volunteers. We're looking for a commitment of one day a week from each volunteer (however we can be flexible on this). We are initially looking for a minimum 6 month commitment. You don't necessarily need to have previous administrative or office experience (or to be a wildlife expert)! We will cover everything as part of your induction. Main tasks include: Being the first point of contact for phone calls to the office; answering and directing incoming calls appropriately. Being responsible for answering the door intercom and meeting and greeting visitors. Working as part of the wider administrative team to manage the smooth, day-to-day running of the office. Assisting with the coordination of our fleet vehicles. Scope to handle financial tasks such as raising invoices and processing cheques. Providing other general administrative support as needed. Maintaining good working relationships with our other office volunteers. In addition to your regular, day to day tasks, there may also be the opportunity to support other teams in the office.
