What we're looking for

Now, more than ever, the RSPB are turning to the on-line community to build an army of volunteers to spread our key message of Saving Nature! Have you ever watched an online video, or looked at an image on social media, that has inspired you to take action for nature? The RSPB is looking to replicate exactly that! We are looking for an imaginative and create volunteers, with a keen interest in digital media and photography, to help us produce high quality, engaging video and image content to support the eastern England region's digital and social media presence. The key tasks for this role are likely to include: - - Coordinating the gathering of video footage, and still photos from RSPB sites across the east of England, for use in digital content production. - Being an advocate for regional video production and photography standards and processes (to comply with our branding policies). - Championing videos as a creative tool for promotion and marketing of RSPB reserves and projects. - Editing on-brand, audience specific videos, and creating on-brand image content for use on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and other social media platforms. - Working with other volunteers to share content for scheduling on social media platforms. This is a very exciting role, with the opportunity to create awareness of the RSPB's work in the region on a large scale. The skills you need

We're looking predominantly for someone who is creative, with an eye for video editing and an artistic flair! We will need you to... - be able to tell as story through the use of visual content (video and still images). - be confident using Adobe CS (Photoshop and Premier Elements). - have experience with iMovie, or similar mobile apps. - preferably understand how to use Adobe Illustrator and InDesign. - be dynamic and able to communicate with lots of different teams, staff, and volunteers both face to face and on the phone / email.

Notes

You will have a full induction to the RSPB Eastern England regional team, and we will also provide (mandatory) short GDPR training course. Appropriate expenses will be re-imbursed where necessary. An RSPB name badge, clothing and equipment will also be provided where applicable. The RSPB speaks out for birds and wildlife, tackling the problems that threaten our environment.
