What we're looking for
Looking for a role in a busy, friendly communications team? Great 'cos we really need you! You'll help us deliver communications that inform, engage and inspire our staff about the RSPB, our work for nature and our plans for the future. You'll provide essential support such as: monitoring and handling emails that come into our internal comms inbox helping research stories and, on occasion, writing articles editing and uploading content to our intranet helping arrange internal events, such as roadshows involving senior staff, at locations across the RSPB (you won't be expected to travel to attend these). You'll also take the lead on: coordinating and promoting our schedule of internal 'spotlight talks', liaising with speakers and administrators from across the organisation managing our 'position statements' online library (guidance for staff on our stance on specific topics) including the review and updating process. We're looking for someone who can commit to volunteering in the team for around 15 hours per week, but if you'd like to give more time that's great! Depending on how many hours you're able to give, we'll work with you to refine the tasks and agree a work pattern that suits you we're flexible on how you spread your hours during the week.
