What we're looking for

There's always plenty to do at Aylesbeare's reserve workshop and yard. We need someone who's not afraid to get their hands dirty and likes getting stuck in with all kinds of practical conservation! Main responsibilities will include: • Chopping firewood for use to run our biomass boiler. • To take control of our firewood sales procedure (taking bookings, delivering stock and taking payment). • Completing jobs as instructed by the site warden and site manager, this may include, cleaning and tidying the boiler room, prepping wood and materials for use on site (pointing stakes etc.).

The skills you need

You will need a chainsaw cross cutting license, be confident in chopping, and confident in stacking wood using various machinery. You will need to be able to drive a truck with a trailer attached (and to be confident reversing into driveways etc.), and

Your time

One half day per week
All year round
