What we're looking for

Our community fundraising volunteers are the local face of the RSPB placing our pin badge boxes across the South West raising nearly £130k last year for the RSPB. As the scheme continues to grow with volunteers of nearly 200 and boxes of 1500 there is an increasing need for an office volunteer who could support the regions Community Fundraiser. With your experience of Microsoft Office and general office administration skills you will be able to take on important tasks like setting up new volunteers on our computer systems and sending out starter packs. Alongside this you will deal with stock orders, volunteer queries and adding income to our banking system. As a self-starter you will be able to pick up work on a regular weekly basis working independently.

The skills you need

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. Some knowledge of Publisher would be useful but not essential. Numeracy skills An ability to use your own initiative and work independently

RSPB will provide training and inductions for its Systems such as VMS (Volunteer management system) and RSPB Online Badge ordering system (ROBINS). Expenses will be re-imbursed where necessary. The RSPB is the UK charity working to secure a healthy environment for birds and wildlife, helping to create a better world for all of us.
