What we're looking for

This role is part of the RSPB NI communications team working with the communications manager and communications officers who look after a variety of communications channels to support the work that RSPB NI undertakes to give nature a home in Northern Ireland.

The skills you need

An interest in communications and marketing for nature conservation, an understanding of digital communication and social media. Excellent written communication skills. Working towards or having recently completed a communications qualification is desirable. The placement would primarily be based at RSPB NI Headquarters at Belvoir Forest Park. The location is accessible by public transport and has car some parking available.

One day per week - Monday or Friday

What's in it for you?

Activities that would form part of this placement include: • social media analytics and content creation to include video; • event marketing for the reserves event programme; • destination marketing for nature reserves including Belfast's Window on Wildlife (WOW) in the Belfast Harbour Estate, Rathlin West Light Seabird Centre and Portmore Lough reserve; • picture research and assisting with the refresh of the Northern Ireland pages of the RSPB website and external listings; • producing template posters and on reserve interpretation
