What we're looking for

We need people who can enthuse and inspire visitors and local people about the work of the RSPB at RSPB St Aidan's Nature Park. We are looking for people to be out on site, walking the trails, chatting to the public about the history of the site and the wildlife that lives there and the work we do. You'll also be collecting feedback and ideas from the public and answering their questions.

The skills you need

You'll need to be a great people person with the ability to communicate with lots of different people in a positive way. You'll need to be willing to learn about the work and campaigns of the RSPB and share those stories with our visitors, encouraging them to support us morally, financially or by giving their time as a volunteer too. You will need to be happy working outdoors in a variety of weathers, as well as spending a lot of time walking at St Aidan's. You'll need to be a good team player, and be willing to get stuck in.

Your time

Minimum:
Usually 1 day per week
Duration:
Ongoing
Period:
All year around

What's in it for you?

You'll join a very friendly, growing team of staff and volunteers, who all want to help save nature in the Aire Valley. Well provide training, uniform and a lovely reserve to spend time in! It will give you the opportunity to gain new wildlife and bird watching skills, all whilst meeting new people and making friends. This is a real opportunity to make a difference and give back to a local community.
