RSPB Local Groups are community-based groups run by volunteers, promoting the aims and objectives of the RSPB in your local community by running popular events and activities like indoor talks and local walks, as well as fundraising and attending local community events. The role of Treasurer is essential in ensuring the group operates effectively, and we need an enthusiastic and conscientious individual to be responsible for managing the accounts for our RSPB Norwich Local Group! Responsibilities: Collect and bank income from group activities, including RSPB sales work, ensuring a stock check is done at the end of the financial year. Ensure all income and expenditure is recorded and present a yearly financial report to the group membership, ensuring accounts are audited. Monitor group finances regularly and advise the group committee on the financial implications of their activities. Complete an annual financial return each year and return it to the RSPB finance department.
