What we're looking for

Help us to re-connect children with nature by sharing your passion for the natural world with the children and young adults who visit our inspiring nature reserve. Help us to save nature. Some of our Education Volunteers are retired/resting teachers; some want to work in outdoor education and are looking to build up their experience. Other volunteers just want to be outdoors, surrounded by an amazing landscape and they all enjoy the reward of helping young people discover the awe and wonder of nature. Following a period of training and shadowing our team, we'll ask you to take the lead in delivering pre-prepared, hands-on, exciting sessions to visiting schools and youth groups. Typical activities we'll ask you to lead include minibeast hunting, pond dipping and bird watching with our younger groups and fieldwork, surveying and practical conservation with our older groups.
