What we're looking for

RSPB Local Groups are run by committed volunteers to promote the aims of the RSPB in the local community. They offer people a chance to get more involved in our work to save nature by running activities like talks and local walks, in addition to fundraising, campaigning and attending local events to inspire people to support the RPSB. We're looking for someone to help our groups reach out to new audiences in their areas and get the word out that volunteering with an RSPB group is a wonderful way to help save nature locally. You would do this through helping our groups make connections with local volunteer centres and other community organisations, supporting them to make their role advertisements more engaging, or just giving some ad hoc verbal support when they're seeking new ways to attract new people.

The skills you need

Experience and knowledge of volunteer recruitment and/or community-based engagement work. Willingness to spend a few (ad hoc and flexible) hours a month helping our Local Group volunteers get new people involved with their work to save nature locally.

Your time

A few hours every month
All year round

What's in it for you?

You'll have the chance to learn about the great work that our RSPB Local Groups do, get to know some amazing volunteers in the process, and find fulfilment in the fact that you're helping them keep the show on the road through sharing your recruitment knowledge and tips.
