Stamp out albatross deaths
Do you have an old collection of stamps, coins or medals gathering dust in a cupboard? Why not donate it to us and together we can save albatrosses.
How it works
- Dig out those old stamp collections, first day covers and albums. We also accept coins and medals.
- Send them to us or drop them off at your nearest RSPB reserve or office.
- We work with a well-respected auction house which re-lots and sells them at monthly auctions.
- All funds raised help save albatrosses out at sea.
Each year, your collections help us to raise thousands of pounds for albatross conservation.
Please note that we no longer accept donations of used postage stamps and are now focusing on rare and collectible items for auction including stamps, coins and medals.
Help us stamp out albatross deaths
Fifteen out of 22 albatross species are threatened with extinction. The main threat to albatrosses is death on a hook at the end of a fishing long-line.
The Albatross Task Force is helping to save albatrosses from extinction both at sea and on land. They show fishing crews how to stop albatrosses from being killed and share the best techniques and tools.
With BirdLife International partners and other organisations, we're working to stop the needless slaughter of these amazing birds and bring them back from the brink of extinction.
Working with a specialist auction house, we can raise money for this vital work. Each stamp, coin and medal is examined and lotted with other donations to raise optimum value.
How to send us your collections and albums
Our contracted auction house collects all donations of stamps, coins and medals from our UK headquarters every month and lots them for sale.
You can simply drop off your collection at your local RSPB reserve or office (please call them in advance if it’s a very large delivery) or you can post it to us at:
