Titchwell Marsh Guides and Walks

Titchwell’s friendly volunteer guides are here to help. Here’s how.

Roving rangers

Titchwell’s friendly volunteer guides are here to help.

  • Are you looking for a specific bird?
  • Are you interested in Titchwell’s history or management?
  • Have you ever wanted to explore new parts of the reserve?
  • Do you simply want an expert guide?

Meet our friendly volunteers in the hides or around the Titchwell trails. Please ask at the Welcome Hub to find out where our guides are, and which species they'll be looking for.

We are always on the lookout for new volunteer guides to help keep Titchwell a friendly and informative place. If you’re interested in joining the team, please let us know:

If you're planning a visit, you can book a volunteer guide for a private half day guided walk (up to three hours). We'll tailor each walk to suit your needs and focus on the wildlife you want to see (as the wildlife is, well, wild, we can't always guarantee what you'll see, but we will try our hardest).

These tours are also great for small groups and anyone wanting advice on improving their bird identification skills. Hire-a-guides must be booked at least two weeks in advance by emailing the Visitor Centre:

A private tour costs £85 each, or £65 for RSPB members, inclusive of reserve entry fees and hire of either telescope or binoculars.

Please note: we will do our best to meet your requirements, but may not always be able to find a guide on your preferred date. We may also suggest a time and date based on the best birdwatching opportunities.
