Old quarry viewpoint is good for viewing birds in tree canopy above and as a vantage for wildlife below. There is a seat without arms at the viewpoint and it is up a 50 m unsurfaced track from nature trail.
1 mile (1.5 km) waymarked circular trail, starting at reserve entrance. Steps on steeper slopes (around 35 degrees). Unsurfaced path, which can be uneven and muddy. No seating except at viewpoint. No gates or stiles.

Follow RSPB sign on farmer's gate and cross corner of private field to reserve entrance.

BBQs are a fire risk, endangering other people and the precious wildlife and habitats here. They are not permitted on the reserve at any time.
There is no visitor centre here and this reserve does not have any staff on site.
There is no cafe or shop here, the nearest place for food and drinks is on the A361 between Knowle and Spreacombe less than 1.25 miles (2 km) from the reserve. We recommend you bring your own food and drinks if this is likely to affect your visit.
Restrictions
The reserve is managed as a safe home for breeding birds, so please keep dogs on a lead at all times. This nature reserve is an important place for wildlife.
Assistance dogs are welcome in all parts of the reserve.
