The reserve is signposted with brown tourist signs from the A14 at Junction 24 and from Swavesey village.
Access to the reserve car park is down our main entry track from Fen Drayton Road, not along Holywell Ferry Road which leads from Fen Drayton village. Please check your route before departing.
The Cambridgeshire Guided Busway runs between Huntingdon and Cambridge has a request stop at Fen Drayton Lakes.
Please note that the driver will need to be made aware that you wish to alight.
Huntingdon and Cambridge rail stations are the nearest.
You can then take the Guided Bus.
National Cycle Route 51 passes through the centre of the reserve.
There are cycle racks located on this route close to the Guided Busway stop.
