There are two access points: one at the bottom of Slough Lane, the other off Watery Lane.
The access off Watery Lane is over a stile and the path is a foot beaten track across grass land that at times can be very wet. From the stile to the viewpoints is 0.4 km.
The access at the bottom of Slough Lane is on the Wessex Water road but passes around the locked gate and is quite narrow. From the road to the viewpoint is 0.2 km.
Due to the very wet nature of this site the trails are currently unsuitable for wheelchairs, pushchairs and any one with limited mobility.

The RSPB does not manage a car park at this reserve. Parking is off-site at a free public car park on Watery Lane which has 7 spaces.

BBQs are a fire risk, endangering other people and the precious wildlife and habitats here. They are not permitted on the reserve at any time.
There is no visitor centre here and this reserve does not have any staff on site.
There is no cafe or shop here, the nearest places for food and drinks are in Upton around 1 mile away. We recommend you bring your own food and drinks if this is likely to affect your visit.

Restrictions
Due to the easily disturbed wildlife on the reserve no dogs are allowed on site at anytime, except assistance dogs.
Assistance dogs are welcome in all parts of the reserve.
