What we're looking for

RSPB Scotland has a dedicated network of members who support our vital conservation work. RSPB currently has a great team of Membership Development Officers who attend events and venues in order to engage with members of the public about the RSPB and encourage them to support our work through membership. In this role, you will work with the Membership Venues Development Officer help to identify new events and venue opportunities for the team to attend. You will help to make booking requests, develop new partnerships and maintain the membership events diary.

The skills you need

We require you to have excellent computer and internet skills, with access to the internet and a telephone at home or you can come into either our Scotland Headquarters or Regional Office in Glasgow. You should have great organisation and communication skills, an eye for detail and a commitment to helping the RSPB to achieve it's goals.

Your time

A few hours to one day a week
All year round

What's in it for you?

In this role, you will be directly contributing towards bringing in income that is channelled straight into the fantastic conservation work of the RSPB, without which, we could not achieve the successes that we do. In return we will help you gain valuable insight into the events industry and the charity sector. You will also develop transferable skills in event research, event planning, negotiating, logistics and much more. There is also the opportunity to attend some of the larger events, such as the Royal Highland Show, to assist the membership team. The RSPB is an active and exciting conservation charity, the largest in Europe! We can help you gain skills and give you a valuable insight into our work.
