Get help logging into your RSPB online account with our FAQs.

I’m a member, why don’t I have an account?

When you become a member you don’t automatically get a RSPB online account. But registering for one is quick and easy, just fill in the RSPB online form.

I’m a member, how do I update my address/bank details?

If you have a RSPB online account, you can update your contact details (address, email, mobile and telephone numbers) by logging in to that account.

If you don’t have an existing RSPB online account or want to make any other changes to your membership, such as adding or removing members or updating Direct Debit details, call our Supporter Services team on 01767 693680 or email

I’ve logged in, but it just takes me back to the login page

Unfortunately, RSPB online is not supported by Internet Explorer. You’ll need to use Google Chrome or another browser to sign up. Some people also find resetting their password solves this problem.

I can’t register/submit results for Big Garden Birdwatch from my account

The best place to register/submit your Big Garden Birdwatch results is from our main Big Garden Birdwatch page.

I need help with Big Garden Birdwatch

You can sign up and take part in Big Garden Birdwatch every January  from our main Big Garden Birdwatch page.

This year, why not use our fully digital journey? You can download the counting chart once you've signed up from our main Big Garden Birdwatch page. If you can't get onto the site over the big weekend, or if it's running slowly, come back to tell us what you’ve seen later - even if your usual visitors didn’t turn up.

Want to take part as a group?


For youth groups such as scouts, can get involved as part of our Big Schools Birdwatch. For adult and community groups, please collate your results and send them to us in one form from the main Big Garden Birdwatch page.

The link doesn't work in my verification email

If your verification link is broken when setting up an account with us, please try Google Chrome or another internet browser instead of Internet Explorer, then go to the login page and request a new password.

I can’t log in to my shopping account

Your online shopping account is different from your main site account. Please visit the online shop login page instead.

I can’t remember my password/It won’t accept my password

You should be able to reset your password from the login page and click on the forgotten password link.

I need a new email verification sent out/I don’t know if I have an account

To get a new email sent out, the easiest way is to go to the login page and click on the forgotten password link. This will also help you find out if you already have an account with us.

You’ll then get an email, either letting you reset your password or telling you that there is no account registered under your email address yet.

If you think you may have another account and you wish to log in to this, try logging into our community page.

We understand this can be a bit confusing so we’re currently working on developing a new system where only one account is needed for all of the areas of our website. Please bear with us in the meantime.

I’m locked out of my account

If you’re locked out of your account, it will automatically unlock after 15 minutes so please pop the kettle on, make a brew and try again later.

If you can’t remember your password, please go to the login page and click on the forgotten password link.

I want to update my email address

You can update your email address from your profile page. Once you log in, go to your profile page and update your email address under the personal details tab.
