Our first reserve on the Isle of Wight, RSPB Brading Marshes stretches from the village of Brading to the sea at Bembridge Harbour. From Buzzards and Little Egrets, Green Woodpeckers and Marsh Harriers to butterflies, Hobbies and Red Squirrels, it's a haven for a wide range of wildlife.

How Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) will benefit RSPB Worth Marshes

Through our work at Brading Marshes, 12ha (hectares) of grassland and arable fields will be regenerated into thriving woodland and scrub. Oak, Ash, Hazel and Field Maple trees will spread from the nearby ancient woodland, expanding its footprint and increasing the available habitat for rare species such as Hazel Dormice and Red Squirrels.
