Become a Friend of Coquet Island
Your friendship can make a huge difference on just one small island.
Shockingly, almost 70% of UK and Ireland seabird species are known to be in decline, with many facing the very real threat of extinction in the UK.
Coquet Island belongs entirely to birds like these. It’s a ‘Special Protection Area’; an official sanctuary for seabirds of international significance, including the much loved roseate tern.
This remote, uninhabited island is the only place left in the UK where you can still find a significant breeding population of these rare and timid terns.
A regular donation from you will help us protect, manage and support this special seabird island both now and in the future.
