How would you like to win an afternoon learning about birds with the wonderful Chris Packham? Five lucky winners will enjoy an afternoon with Chris, where he’ll introduce you to one of his favourite places to see birds of prey.

To be in with a chance of winning, all you need to do is donate to the Horse Common appeal. Full terms and conditions can be found below.

Nightjar, Caprimulgus europaeus. Adult roosting during daylight hours, perched on a log, relying on camouflage and immobility for disguise. The Lodge RSPB reserve, Bedfordshire, England.

Help create a rich haven for nature

With your support Horse Common could become an even better place for nature, and become a vital home for rare birds such as nightjars and lapwings, lesser spotted woodpeckers and nightingales, as well as silver-studded blue butterflies and carnivorous sundew plants.

It sits right next to RSPB Franchises Lodge and would become part of a wider wildlife corridor helping threatened species to recover and creating a rich mosaic of linked habitat.

That why we’ve teamed up with the Daily Express and Ecotalk to raise £90,000. Your donation will help secure Horse Common for future generations, provide much-needed habitat for rare wildlife and protect charismatic birds including hawfinches, firecrests and wood warblers.
