Wildfire risk

FramptonOpenSee opening timesThis Lincolnshire nature reserve is a special place. Whichever season you visit, there's wildlife to watch and trails to tromp. Spy foraging Avocets, boxing Hares, and hunting Hen Harriers all at Frampton Marsh.
About
Blessed with a variety of freshwater habitats, Frampton Marsh provides close views of the abundant birdlife of The Wash - the biggest bay in England. Avocets, Redshanks and Skylarks can all be seen in summer, with thousands of ducks gathering on the freshwater scrapes in winter.
This is a landscape surrounded by waters teeming with life. The reserve is set against the shore of The Wash, the UK’s most important estuary for birds. Explore freshwater wetlands, reedbeds, wet grasslands and large shallow pools known as scrapes.

Parking is not free to non-members, however, it is included in the reserve fee. Open daily.
60 spaces of loose aggregate parking.
4 Blue Badge spaces 24 m from the visitor centre. On a concrete surface.
1 coach space. No formal drop-off point. No lighting in car park. No height restriction barrier.
Bicycle racks available.
Open daily, 9:30am-4pm. Both accessible toilets are located in the visitor centre. Unisex accessible toilet has non-slip flooring.
Baby changing facilities are located in the toilets in the visitor centre.
The level, walk around our Reedbed Trail and up to the sea bank makes Frampton Marsh is the perfect place for a stroll in nature with a pushchair.
Prior to your visit, please contact the reserve directly for detailed information.
Reedbed trail mostly flat on compacted aggregate. Steps and gentle slopes, grass paths and uneven ground on other paths.
There are 5 toilets in the visitor centre, open daily 9:30am – 4pm.
There is an additional toilet by the front door open outside of these hours.
BBQs are a fire risk, endangering other people and the precious wildlife and habitats here. They are not permitted here at any time.
Dogs are welcome on the public footpaths at the site, including on the seabank and along the Grassland Trail.
Please keep your dog on a lead and under close, effective control at all times.
Dogs are not allowed on the Reedbed Trail, the paths to the hides, or inside the visitor centre or café. However, there is dog-friendly seating available outside.
Assistance dogs are welcome in all parts of the reserve.
