Viewpoint
The RSPB Scotland field teacher in Orkney uses the reserve for education visits throughout the year.
There is no cafe or shop here, the nearest places for food and drinks are at Shapinsay shop or seasonal café in Balfour village 0.9 miles/ 1.45 km away.
We recommend you bring your own food and drinks if this is likely to affect your visit.

BBQs are a fire risk, endangering other people and the precious wildlife and habitats here. They are not permitted on the reserve at any time
There are no nature trails at the reserve.
This is a sensitive site for breeding birds, so any access onto the marsh during breeding season is likely to cause disturbance.
There is no visitor centre here and this reserve does not have any staff on site.
