What we're looking for
We're looking for committed and enthusiastic volunteers to inspire people about the amazing bottlenose dolphins seen in and around Aberdeen Harbour. The Dolphinwatch project aims to bring people closer to the wildlife on their doorstep, providing an enjoyable experience for all visitors and growing support for nature. This role asks volunteers to sign up to a fixed day every week or fortnight. We are also seeking a team of backup volunteers to join us on a more casual basis. Please see our volunteering page or get in touch for details. We want to build a team to help meet and greet visitors, show them how to use the telescopes and binoculars, interpret what they are seeing and enthuse them about nature and RSPB Scotland's conservation work. We want people who understand the importance of giving our visitors a great experience and are able to convey the importance of nature conservation to a wide audience. Support from RSPB membership underpins everything we achieve as a charity, helping us fund nature conservation work across the UK and speak up for threatened wildlife and wild places. It is therefore important that you can inspire people about our work and encourage them to become members.
