Picnic area

A picnic bench sits in the centre of our 360 viewing screen.

Viewing point
  • Due to it's design, a walk round Langford Lowfields provides excellent views over a developing, nature-filled reedbed.
  • 360-degree viewing screen.
  • Floating bridge and boardwalk.
  • Pond dipping platform.
Nature trails
  • Two nature trails - North trail and Cromwell trail
  • It is a 20 minute (800m) walk from the car park up through our woodland, past the fresh water lagoons to the Beach Hut. The Cromwell Trail is the shorter of the two (30 mins) and takes you through the heart of the reedbed, over a floating bridge, whilst the North Trail (45 mins) takes you around the whole perimeter of the Phase 1 area, past our warbler-filled scrub areas, through the wildflower hay meadow and close to the River Trent where you can get great views of the impressive Cromwell Weir.
