New funding will make a huge difference to the wildlife of New Island in the Falklands
The future of wildlife on New Island is more secure, thanks to a successful £3m Darwin Plus funding bid.

This new report reveals that, if we are to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions, halt and reverse the catastrophic declines of nature, and improve air and water quality, UK Governments must invest £4.4bn a year, for the next 10 years.
An assessment of the financial resources needed for environmental land management in the UK, was written by an independent economist [1] for the RSPB, The Wildlife Trusts and the National Trust.
