BBQs are a fire risk, endangering other people and the precious wildlife and habitats here. They are not permitted on the reserve at any time.
There is no visitor centre here and this reserve does not have any staff on site. Visitors can use the information board year-round and visit the information trailer in the summer months
There is no cafe or shop here, the nearest place for food and drinks is at the Kildonan Museum around 10 miles away. We recommend you bring your own food and drinks if this is likely to affect your visit.

The reserve is managed as a safe home for breeding birds, so please keep dogs on a lead at all times. This nature reserve is an important place for wildlife. RSPB Scotland welcomes responsible access, in line with the Scottish Outdoor Access Code. We hope you enjoy your visit
