Red-throated Diver

This Shetland island is a sanctuary for seabirds, waders, otters and the rare Red-necked Phalarope.

Hoy is a landscape that will leave you speechless – all the better to listen out for the calls of Puffins, Razorbills and Fulmars that ring out from this rugged stretch of coastline.

Set among woodland and heather-covered hills, this remote loch is home to Slavonian Grebes who hide among the sedge beds.
