Where once there were storage lagoons for the neighbouring power station, there is now a thriving nature reserve.
What we offer
Home to a wealth of wildlife, children can investigate habitats and adaptations dipping into our ponds or watching the many ducks, geese and swans that visit the reserve.
We have a classroom and a full range of equipment to support an exciting range of hands-on activities so your class can get the most from their visit.
Bring your class to Newport Wetlands for an unforgettable experience designed to bring learning to life.
To find out more, take a look at the list of the programmes and contact us to make a booking.
Each programme is designed to last two hours; sessions run from 10am to 12pm and then 12.30 to 2.30pm. Two programmes can be combined to make a whole-day visit.
