The Nature of Scotland Awards recognise the very best in Scottish nature conservation.
The Nature of Scotland Awards shine a light on the great work being done to help Scotland’s species and habitats. With the support of our generous sponsors and particularly headline sponsor NatureScot, we highlight the individuals, projects, and businesses driving positive change for our natural world.
If you, whether individually, as a group, as part of a partnership, or in a business, are doing exceptional things to support nature or want to celebrate others doing great work, we want to hear from you! You can nominate someone else, it will give them a tremendous boost, getting the recognition they deserve for their impactful work for nature.
If you are entering on behalf of your own organisation, partnership, or business, it’s a great way to receive independent recognition, which can be invaluable for demonstrating success to partners, supporters, customers, or funders. Winning or being shortlisted not only brings well-deserved recognition but also helps to inspire others, attract support, and strengthen Scotland’s movement for nature.
We’re open for entries until Tuesday 27 May, it’s time to start application!
One of the biggest benefits of entering is the opportunity to engage with others from the environmental sector. Everyone who enters is invited to our Shortlist Reception at the Scottish Parliament on 10 September. Then finalists receive two complimentary places to attend the Awards Ceremony on 20 November at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre. NatureScot is Scotland's nature agency. We bring 30 years of experience, expertise and passion to our nation's most vital endeavour: to tackle the twin crises of nature's devastating decline and the climate emergency.
Working with partners, communities and businesses we're leading nationally to stop the dramatic decline in biodiversity, as a necessary first step towards substantial regeneration by 2045. By restoring biodiversity, nature will make an essential contribution to both hitting net zero carbon emissions targets and a thriving economy with people’s wellbeing at its heart.
