Day of artist-led action planned for 4 November across England, with poster sales supporting the RSPB.

The Tate Modern in London and the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art in Gateshead are among 17 galleries and cultural spaces across England hosting a day of artist-led action calling on audiences to ‘Remember Nature’ on 4 November. Remember Nature 2025 is an ambitious new staging of the visionary art project initiated in 2015 by the celebrated artist Gustav Metzger (1926–2017).
To mark the event, a series of posters by leading artists has been commissioned, and we’re excited to reveal that a proportion of proceeds from the sale of the posters will be donated to the RSPB.
The Remember Nature 2025 poster series is a powerful call to remember nature when it needs us most, and features original work by 17 artists, who will each be leading the Remember Nature day of action.
Reflections on the natural world inspire many of the posters. ‘Birdy’ by Sally Rodgers of A Man Called Adam is a new work comprising kaleidoscopic, many-layered monoprints, created from the artist’s close study of seaside and garden birds along the North East coast.

‘Spirit Garden’ by Sofia Barton looks at the spirit of nature itself, fusing Mughal-inspired art with Northumberland’s flora and fauna.

Colourful clusters of dried plants and seeds gathered around Manchester fill the page of Yu-Chen Wang’s ‘Nature Remembered’.

Meanwhile Harun Morrison, Umama Hamido and Cody Lee Barbour take inspiration from the what3words location of a viewpoint in nature in Birmingham.

Artist Paul Harfleet gives a mesmerising drawing of London’s sun-dappled treetops, inspired by Remember Nature founder Gustav Metzger.

The series also highlights the need for environmental action. Commemorating seven major glaciers lost in the 21st century, Youngsook Choi’s work ‘The Book of Loss’ warns of colossal flooding as a result of rapidly declining glacial ice.

Maddi Nicholson’s ‘Mother Nature Mailed … she’s mad’ explores how the powerful language of protest can shape the future, featuring hand-drawn placards that demand action on climate justice, food security and nature-based solutions.
